Nicholas Kristof, "A Banker Speaks, With Regret": The "Federal Government" Is Wrong

Nicholas Kristof in his latest New York Times op-ed, "A Banker Speaks, With Regret" (, writes:

"That’s why the Occupy movement resonates so deeply: When the federal government goes all-out to rescue errant bankers, and stiffs homeowners, that’s not just bad economics. It’s also wrong."

Excuse me, Nicholas, but who exactly is this "federal government"? Could it possibly include the president, of whom you wrote less than a week ago in "President as Piñata" (, "Obama has done better than many critics on the left or the right give him credit for"?

Sorry, Nicholas, but you can't have your cake and eat it, too.
