The Washington Post, "Rare Interview with Egyptian Gen. Abdel Fatah al-Sissi": Yet Another Obama Foreign Policy Success

In a Washington Post article entitled "Rare interview with Egyptian Gen. Abdel Fatah al-Sissi" (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/rare-interview-with-egyptian-gen-abdel-fatah-al-sissi/2013/08/03/a77eb37c-fbc4-11e2-a369-d1954abcb7e3_story.html) by Lally Weymouth, we learn of yet another Obama foreign policy success:

"'You left the Egyptians. You turned your back on the Egyptians, and they won’t forget that,' said an indignant Gen. Abdel Fatah al-Sissi, speaking of the U.S. government. 'Now you want to continue turning your backs on Egyptians?'

Sissi is widely considered the most powerful man in Egypt, wielding more control than anyone over the country’s direction after a tumultuous 21 / 2 years in which the military has shoved aside two presidents following popular uprisings.

. . . .

Sissi’s comments are a measure of just how thoroughly the Obama administration has alienated both sides in a profoundly polarized and unsettled Egypt, all while trying to remain neutral. Morsi’s supporters in the Muslim Brotherhood regularly accuse the United States of acquiescing to a military coup."

Sissi's remarks follow Putin's decision to grant asylum to Edward Snowden.

Do you remember Obama's boast that his legislative and foreign policy accomplishments were greater than any other president with the possible exceptions of Johnson, FDR and Lincoln?

Keep up the good work, Barack! Mount Rushmore awaits you!

  1. Rumour has it al-Sisi is considering a run for the presidency, of Egypt.

As for Obama? He can always run for mayor of Detroit, Michigan, and then launch drone strikes on Monsey, NY; because Texas might shoot back :)

  2. I wonder if anybody in the Black community realizes how bad Obama is for this community.
Increasingly, the first (and only) Black president is associated with betrayal, treason: IRS targeting of "patriots," Benghazi, betrayal of allies, love of open enemies (Iran, for example) or tyrannical monsters, antagonistic to American ideals which American president is supposed to share and defend.
