Q: Where Was Kerry When Cairo Burned? A: Busy With His Toys on Nantucket

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”

― George Orwell, "1984"

As reported by Ben Shapiro of Breitbart News (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2013/07/05/State-Department-lied-Kerry-boat):

"On Friday, the State Department admitted that Secretary of State John Kerry was on his yacht off of the coast of Nantucket as the Egyptian military took over the country from elected Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi. Originally, the State Department denied the report from CBS reporter Mosheh Oinounou that Kerry was aboard the 'Isabel' Wednesday afternoon. The State Department said that Kerry was working 'all day' on Egypt, and State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki . . . said that the CBS report was 'completely inaccurate.' That despite multiple tweets, reports, and even video of the Kerry motorcade getting stuck in traffic.

On Friday, Psaki said that Kerry was 'briefly on his boat on Wednesday.'

In other words, the American people were directly lied to about the whereabouts of the Secretary of State as a coup took place in one of the most strategically important countries in the world – a country where the President of the United States chose to launch in foreign policy in 2009, where the US embassy was overrun in 2012, and where the Obama administration planted its flag with the Arab Spring in 2010."

Is anyone talking about placing Psaki on administrative leave for prevarication? No way. It's all for the cause. You know, the Party slogans, "Hope," "Change" and "Forward" . . .

  1. I mowed 2/3 of my lawn for one hour and, voila, Morsi was gone.

I am not going to criticize Kerry for yachting because I am certain he needed a few hours of windmill-less seascape, to give his mouth a rest while he figures out how to replace Psaki with Amb. Patterson...

Has anyone heard from Biden? or Humpty Dumpty?

    Is the sky falling?

  2. Humpty Dumpty?
I think he's doing what he's been doing all his life - trying to glue himself to heroes in the hope that people take HIM for one. I think he's stalking Mandela, who is unable to defend himself, this time. In the past, some civil rights movement activists told him to get lost.
But, the confused (in many ways) Norwegians gave him Nobel, apparently thinking that he was Mandela. I can guess that they don't know the difference - a Black man is a Black man - they all look alike to them.

    1. Huh? I really WAS wondering where Biden was (seems he has been on vacation), and, for some reason, that triggered a mental image of Humpty Dumpty from the film "Puss in Boots". My brain jumped to, it seems the world is breaking into pieces, and America can not put it back together again, as we apparently got credit for with WW2-Cold War. Today, we do not have Harry Truman and George Marshall, or Winston Churchill.

I was NOT thinking of Obama. I try not to, mostly because I am too visual and have to be careful of image memories, especially of faces, although now I use Brad Pitt's June VF cover to immediately erase image memories that are bad for me.

I used to watch C-Span when Biden/Lugar chaired the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, 2003-2008, so am more familiar with Kerry and Biden 'at work'. (and Lugar, R, Indiana, now retired, but played a critical role for Obama in 2008.)

Kerry knew what was happening. I went out to mow my lawn; he went out on his yacht. His mistake was trying to deny it.
Maybe he stops talking and starts thinking on that yacht. Plus, now maybe we understand why he, earlier this year, kept saying June was some sort of mystical deadline.
fwiw, I still believe Kerry's much-critized focus on restarting the I/p 'peace process' was more about Jordan, because of Syria, than any ideological blindness that Obama may suffer from.
Look at the timing of so many 'dots' since June 30, e.g., Abbas and King Abdullah of Jordan statements were carefully worded.

As for the Norwegians? All I can contribute is that, when I travelled where tv was Scandinavian, I was startled that all the sexy women in the tv ads were exotic brown-eyed brunettes, not a single blue-blonde, who tend to dominate American television.

I still have no idea why they gave Obama the premature Peace Prize (except as a smack to W43), but I hope they redeem themselves by next awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Malala Yousefzai. Women's literacy IS the super-highway to peace, and, as a student of South Asia, well, we are all Malala, or should be.

Today is my birthday, so I hope JG understands why I am indulging myself here. No bullies here.

  3. From today's (7/7) news release concerning Mrs. Kerry's hospitalization:"Before Sunday, the secretary had planned to come back to Washington on Monday. He and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew were scheduled to host high-level strategic and economic talks with senior Chinese officials on Wednesday and Thursday."
....Certainly someone knew where he was and what his plans were.
