Iran Endorses Obama's Nomination of Chuck Hagel

As reported by Iran's Fars News Agency in an article entitled "Chuck Hagel's Nomination: Iran Hopes for Practical Changes in US Foreign Policy" (http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=9107134107), Tehran is pleased by Obama's nomination of Chuck Hagel as America's next secretary of defense:

"Iran on Tuesday expressed the hope that Washington's foreign policy will witness practical changes after US officials announced that President Barack Obama will nominate Chuck Hagel as his next defense secretary.

'We hope that practical changes will be created in the US foreign policy and the US officials' approach will change to respect the nations' rights,' Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast told reporters in Tehran on Tuesday.

'We hope that the US officials will favor peace instead of warmongering and recognize the rights of nations instead of interfering in the countries' internal affairs,' he said.

'If such a trend is adopted (by the American officials), hatred for the US hostile policies will decrease, although assessment can be made in action,' the spokesman said."

Thanks, Obama. Can it get any worse?

  1. Well, so we have already our Secretary of Defense. Obama is now assembling a team - Jarrett woman is there forever, now Nagel and a couple of more and then Obama will push for negotiations. Well, he is a master of negotiations. Some of us remember how he does it - a pompous talk, then no negotiations, e.g., single payer. The prostitutional "left" (nothing left is there) likes babbling about negotiations with enemies ("we talked with the Nazis"). Thank God we had Roosevelt who "talked" with the Germans in 1945 when the allies were in Berlin and elsewhere.
I was thinking ... Obama has been babbling about catching Osama, but wasn't Osama and Iran enemies? Didn't he do a service to ... Iran?

  2. Hi JG:

fwiw, Brennan at CIA is far worse.

and Obama is losing support because he will not have any women in the top four Cabinet spots.

The dems can not win without women.
