Iran's Nuclear Weapons Program: Who's Telling the Truth, the Director General of the IAEA or Obama?

The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yukiya Amano, has informed a closed-door meeting of the IAEA's governing board that since late last year, Iran had tripled monthly output of higher-grade enriched uranium (see: http://www.jpost.com/IranianThreat/News/Article.aspx?id=260522).

Now consider what Obama told AIPAC yesterday (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/text-obamas-speech-aipac-15844791?singlePage=true#.T1R7NYcgcpl):

"Because of our efforts, Iran is under greater pressure than ever before. Some of you will recall, people predicted that Russia and China wouldn't join us to move toward pressure. They did. And in 2010 the U.N. Security Council overwhelmingly supported a comprehensive sanctions effort. Few thought that sanctions could have an immediate bite on the Iranian regime. They have, slowing the Iranian nuclear program and virtually grinding the Iranian economy to a halt in 2011."

Obama's sanctions have slowed the Iranian nuclear program? Poppycock!
